The Cascara Society

Our history

Basically, we are a coffee company that wanted to do coffee differently. We wanted to offer a more ecological, more ethical coffee. When we looked at the coffee industry, we noticed an ecological nonsense linked to the field of ecological coffee, which is linked to the treatment of fruit residues, and more specifically cascara. We therefore became interested in this fruit waste out of ecological responsibility, out of ethical responsibility.

By developing a market for organic cascara, we encourage coffee growers to recover the pulp from the coffee cherries. In this way, we are promoting responsible farming by reducing food waste, while producing sustainable, antioxidant-rich, no-sugar-added and refreshing drinks!

We are therefore promoting responsible organic farming, while ensuring an additional income for small producers.

The Cascara Project

Our missions, our project

We aim to raise awareness of ecological and ethical issues and to remedy them by proposing a more sustainable and fair way of consuming on a daily basis.

Our project is in line with the objectives set by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs. Through this project, we are committed to the following 4 missions:

  1. Good health and well-being
  2. Decent work and economic growth
  3. Responsible consumption and production
  4. Life on earth

Who are we?

In 4 words

Here are the 4 values that guide each of the actions of our project and that we will strive to respect in each of our decisions, for each of our products:

We are a Swiss company specialising in the recycling of organic fruit waste, such as coffee cherries.

We work directly with organic producers to help them increase their farm income.

Our products are healthy, naturally rich in antioxidants and without added sugar.

We make them delicious and true to the tastes and aromas inherent in their natural ingredients.
